1. Suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty

This suspension will continue until Pakistan ceases its support for cross-border terrorism. 2. Closure of the Attari-Wagah Border Check Post
The Indian government has closed the Integrated Check Post (ICP) at Attari, effectively halting all cross-border movement of people and goods through this principal land route. Individuals who had already crossed with valid documents are permitted to return by May 1, 2025. This action aims to restrict further cross-border movement and sends a strong message to Pakistan

3. Suspension and Revocation of Visas for Pakistani Nationals
All visa services for Pakistani nationals have been suspended with immediate effect. Existing valid visas (including those under the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme) have been revoked, and all Pakistani nationals currently in India have been ordered to leave by April 27, 2025. Medical visas will remain valid only until April 29, 2025. Indian nationals in Pakistan have been advised to return to India at the earliest and to avoid travel to Pakistan
4. Downgrading Diplomatic Missions and Expulsion of Defence Staff
India has ordered the expulsion of all Pakistani defence, naval, and air advisors from the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi, declaring them persona non grata and giving them a week to leave. India will also withdraw its own military advisors from its High Commission in Islamabad. Both countries will reduce the strength of their high commissions from 55 to 30 personnel by May 1, 2025
